1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using authentic ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use authentic. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. The Authenticity Rule

authentic exists to celebrate photography as it really is. All content posted must adhere to the following rules:

• Photos must be original photographs taken by you.
• No filters, presets, or colour-grading tools may be applied.
• No AI-generated, AI-modified, or digitally altered images are permitted.
• Minor adjustments such as cropping and straightening are allowed, provided they do not materially alter the scene.

Every upload is automatically reviewed. Posts that do not pass the authenticity check will be rejected or removed. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@authentic-app.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may deactivate your account at any time from Settings. Deactivated accounts are hidden but data is preserved. You may permanently delete your account from Settings, which irreversibly removes all your data.

5. Content Ownership and Licence

You retain all ownership rights to the photos you post. By posting content on authentic, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform. We do not sell your photos or use them for advertising.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to post content. Do not post photos taken by others without their permission.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harassing, abusive, or hateful.
• Post content containing nudity, sexual content, or graphic violence.
• Post any content that sexualises or endangers minors. Such content is removed immediately and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Use the Platform to distribute spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
• Attempt to circumvent the authenticity verification system.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Platform without permission.
• Post content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

7. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on authentic infringes your copyright, please send a notice to contact@authentic-app.com with the subject line "Copyright Infringement Notice" and include: a description of the copyrighted work, a link to the infringing content, your contact information, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised, a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf, and your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notice. If your content was removed following a copyright notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including: identification of the removed content and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed in error, your name, address, and phone number, consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and your physical or electronic signature. Unless the original claimant files a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content.

Repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. We track copyright strikes per account; accounts that receive three valid infringement notices are permanently terminated.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, without prior notice. You may also terminate your account at any time via Settings.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, authentic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at contact@authentic-app.com — we will do our best to resolve it amicably.
